Hannah Green is confirmed for the Australian Open

Hannah Green is confirmed for the 2022 Australian Open and joins what is set to be a stellar field of homegrown and international golfers, competing for a total prize purse of $3.4 million. Lucas Herbert has also locked in confirmation.

The new look Australian Open has received two exceptional outcomes with the commitment of ISPS HANDA as naming rights partner for the next three years and major champion Hannah Green committing to the historic mixed-gender Australian Open in Melbourne this year.

This will be the first time in the world that a national golf Open will include both a men’s and women’s tournament, plus the inspirational competitors in the Australian All Abilities Championship – effectively three tournaments in one.

Dr Haruhisa Handa has been a significant backer of disability golf for more than 30 years. Golf Australia CEO James Sutherland thanked ISPS HANDA for the key role their support played in bringing to life the history-making format of the 2022 ISPS HANDA Australian Open.
