The course at Arkley Golf Club has the honour of having been designed by the legendary golf course architect James Braid. The man from Fife won the Open on five occasions and was just as adept with a pencil in his hand as a golf club, offering his golden touch to many of the most popular and well loved courses in Britain.
Course was founded in 1909 this splendid little nine-hole course, which has eighteen tees for those who prefer a full round of golf to tickle their fancy. Although the greens remain the same the holes play differently enough to provide a different challenge the second time round.
Club have added a number of new practice facilities to the longstanding driving range, practice bunkers and putting green. The clubhouse is a charming building and fits in perfectly with its surroundings.
