Opened in 1890, the course was originally designed by James Braid and is one of the UK's finest downland courses.

Its chalky base ensures fantastic drainage allowing it to remain open all year round. Significant recent investment has seen the course lengthened to 6581 yards, par 71, SSS 72, and it provides a stern but fair test to golfers of all standards.
