Barnard Castle Golf Club

Founded in 1898, Barnard Castle golf club is set in the heart of Teesdale, in the beautiful, rolling Durham countryside. Over eighteen holes, it offers spectacular, panoramic views of its magnificent surroundings, and promises to pose a challenge to golfers of all levels of ability, whether high or low handicapper. There is a number of testing of obstacles to keep your attention focused, and water hazards are a particular feature of the course, with a number of streams meandering gently across many of the fairways.

The maturing copses also add an extra element of difficulty to this lovely parkland course, and measuring 6406 yards from the first tee to the last pin, it is not exactly easy on the legs so good stamina is essential.
