Functions
Founded in 1890, this hidden gem of a course was designed by the great Dr Alister Mackenzie of Augusta National fame. Mackenzie, a resident of Leeds, designed a number of top-class courses outside the United Kingdom, but he also laid down some treasures in his native north of England and Bury is certainly one of them. This is a beautiful moorland course where accuracy is essential as you have to negotiate some tight fairways and heavily guarded greens.
Bury is a fair challenge to players of all levels and is a very well looked after course so it is almost always in tip top condition. The clubhouse is warm and welcoming and affords golfers the use of all its facilities.
