As you approach through the foothills of the Pennines you could be mistaken for anticipating quite a stiff walking test here in the High Peak. Nothing could be further from the truth!

You will soon discover that the course, nestling in the valley between Whaley Bridge and Chapel-en-le-Frith, is built on gentle rolling parkland surrounded by the magnificent scenery of the Peak District. The course offers a variety of challenges designed to test golfers of all standards. The beautifully presented greens are medium paced and vary between flat and significantly undulating. The course uses many natural features (lakes, rivers and trees) to enhance the superbly designed layout which is regularly used for County representative matches. Peter Alliss recently quoted Chapel Golf Club to be a ‘charming course in in the High Peak’
