Cheadle Golf Club

Cheadle Golf Club

This nine-hole, parkland course, with a par of 64 is small in acreage but big on hazards. It features an extensive range of cleverly positioned sand bunkers and wooded obstacles that are completely unavoidable if you are careless enough underestimate the dangers of the course.

A stream also cuts across six of the fairways, so choosing your clubs carefully is essential if your ball is to steer clear of a watery grave.

Situated just a mile south of Cheadle, off junction 3 of the M6, it is easy to reach and especially popular at weekends. It also has the distinction of being one of the oldest clubs in England, founded in 1885.
