Disley Golf Club

Designed by James Braid, the architect of many classic golf courses, Disley demonstrates all the classic hallmarks of a typical Braid design, particularly the use of cleverly placed obstacles that add extra complications to many of the holes. As with many other James Braid courses, tricky but negotiable hazards litter Disley and interrupt otherwise relatively straightforward shots.

The eighteen holes are a joy to play and the slightly rolling terrain makes it challenging without being too exerting. At 6002 yards, with a par of 70, it is a comfortable distance to play and is one of the most enjoyable courses in the Cheshire area, even nowadays 125 years after it was first founded, a fact reinforced no doubt by its four hundred members.
