Donnington Grove Country Club

A unique course, Donnington Grove Country Club was designed by Dave Thomas, a leading golf and landscape architect, in 1991. Two years later, and his vision had been successfully constructed over 550 acres of woodland, farmland and parkland.

It is truly a course of two conflicting and contrasting halves: the front nine is played over undulating woodland against the picturesque backdrop of Newbury, whilst the back nine features some traditional parkland, interrupted by a wealth of trees and water hazards. Consequently, it is harder to find a more varied and challenging course, for any standard of golfer, anywhere in the surrounding area. And with the River Lambourn cutting through it, it is a real aesthetic delight.
