Dunnerholme Golf Club
Set alongside the Duddon Estuary, near the peaceful town of Askam-in-Furness, Dunnerholme golf club is a challenging 10-hole course, with eighteen tees to allow a full round for those who wish one. It offers fabulous panoramic views across the Estuary towards the Lake District's mountains.
The signature hole is the par 3 sixth which is played to an elevated green on top of Dunnerholme Rock, a significant limestone outcrop from which the club takes its name. The tee shot is blind to green on top of the hill, and mishit shots often result in a longer shot than the first one since the wind is known to carry the balls a considerable distance.
