Functions
Ellesmere is so fine an example of a golf course that it almost beggars belief it is a municipal course. It has all the classic features of a typical course: fantastic surroundings, a good variation of holes, a wide selection of challenges and hazards to overcome and so on.
There are brooks, ponds, mature trees and plenty of bunkers, all of which add considerable character to the course, and of course heighten its challenge. The clubhouse and facilities are also of a very high standard.
