Functions
Established in 1913, Garforth was designed by the legendary golf course architect Dr Alister Mackenzie, a resident of Leeds who later went on to design Augusta National with Bobby Jones, arguably one of the finest examples of golf design in the world.
Garforth is the most easterly of the ring of north Leeds courses and comprises two traditional loops of nine, both of which start and finish adjacent to the clubhouse The club, incidentally, is home to an attractive open top terrace - perfect for summer time golf. Visitors are made to feel very welcome, though you may be required to book in advance, and green fees are surprisingly inexpensive.
