Golf World Stansted

Golf World Stansted is located 2 miles north of Stansted airport, 5 miles from Bishops Stortford and is easily accessible from the M11, junction 8 roundabout. There is a floodlit driving range with 11 covered bays and 6 open bays. The dual 9-hole course has 2 different tee positions on most of the holes which gives an 18 hole length of 5,923 yards, par 70. There are five par 3s, ten par 4s and 3 par 5s and the greens are constructed to USGA specification. The academy/teaching area comprises 3 holes which have been built to the same standard as the main course. There is also a practice putting green.

This provides an excellent facility for new golfers to practice without slowing play on the 9-hole course. The gym, with views over the grass driving range, boasts 16 Technogym work stations. We also have a fully licensed bar and restaurant with a wide selection of dishes, where you can sit back and relax within a pleasant and friendly atmosphere.

In the summer of 2018 we opened a 1066 Adventure Golf Course, which is based on local history and has been built to reflect the design of early Norman motte-and-bailey-castles. The 18 hole course is made from artificial grass, with contouring, raised levels, rough and fairways. All designed to give a more natural feel, with some challenging holes as well as some easier ones.

Recently installed is our new function room capable of seating up to 70 people, which includes Widescreen TV and projector screen. This is a very light and airy room ideal for parties, societies or small weddings. The main reception, bar and restaurant has just been refurbished giving the whole place a more modern and luxurious feel.
