Functions
You'd think that with the easy access to this little beauty by the Clitheroe by-pass it would be jam-packed with golfers. Not so, Great Harwood is a relatively undiscovered golfing gem that has been servicing the needs of the local golfing community since 1896, making it one of the oldest nine-hole courses in the area.
It is an easy walking parkland course with more than a few long holes, especially the par fours and par fives. These holes will test your long irons like any good full-size course, so don't be expecting an easy go of it. The par threes do not provide too much respite and require accuracy to be the traps surrounding the greens.
