Hexham Golf Club

The history of the Spital course at Hexham is a very enchanting tale, designed by legendary golf course architects James Braid and Harry Vardon in 1907, following a letter sent to the club by Vardon at the time revealing, "I was very much struck with the beautiful nature of the turf and it can be made into as fine an inland course as you can find… as for scenery it can hardly be surpassed." Almost one-hundred years later, there is hardly an argument to be had to the contrary.

Set in undulating parkland with glorious views of the surrounding countryside, the course benefits further from its magnificent Georgian clubhouse which features an extensive range of facilities, including a bar, restaurant, snooker room and lounges.
