They say Kent is a golfing county that has more than a few admirable surprises up its sleeves and High Elms Golf Club is certainly one of them.
This beautiful parkland sits at 6,221 yards for 18 holes and represents a wonderful challenge to players of all levels.
High Elms is best remembered, however, for its sensational par three 13th, which is over 200-yards. A card wrecker if ever there was one, this is, without question, one of the finest holes in the South East of England.
It's worth having a go at, even you do finish up in the bunker. Tony Jacklin, the former Ryder Cup captain, once said High Elms' 13th was the "best one shotter in England". High praise, indeed.
