Lilleshall Hall Golf Club

Lilleshall Hall Golf Club - the "Jewel in the Crown" of Shropshire golf, is a private club established in 1937. The members are fortunate to enjoy their golf in a sylvan setting, quietly tucked away in rolling Shropshire countryside untroubled by traffic noise or urban encroachment. Picturesque, relatively flat and easy walking make it a popular favourite with visiting golfers.

The 5898 yard course is set in 165 acres 500 feet above sea level and is characterised by its tight fairways cutting through mature trees and the small, fast, undulating and tricky greens.

Conceived by the world renowned Harry S Colt, Lilleshall Hall Golf Club is in fact one of about 300 courses worldwide designed, developed or amended by this most famous of golf course architects. Other notable courses associated with Harry Colt include Wentworth, Woodhall Spa, Sunningdale and Royal St George's.
