Lobden Golf Club

The moorland course at Lobden Golf Club is without question one of the oldest golf courses in Lancashire. It was first played on way back in 1888 and so is due to celebrate its 125th birthday in little over ten years time. Although only a nine-hole course, it can be played as an eighteen-hole for which it measures 5987 yards from the first tee to the last pin and offers a par of 70 - a good indication there is plenty to keep you on your toes throughout your round.

It's quite a heavy-walking course so good stamina is vital. Watch out for the wind speed and direction too - even the best shots can be tampered with when the gusts pick up.
