Meole Brace Golf Club

Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council own a number of municipal golf courses, one of the best in their stable being Meole Brace Golf Club, situated roughly a mile southwards of Shrewsbury.

Municipals don't often have the best reputations among golfers, especially those in the UK, but it seems that Meole Brace isn't keen to follow such trends - and the better we are for it.

This is a pleasant parkland course that offers a sprightly test to players of all standards. The par threes provide an exhilarating shot-making opportunity while the par fours will test your patience as well as your accuracy.

As it is a public course visitors are welcome throughout the year, though you make want to book in advance in order to secure a tee time.
