Minto Golf Club

Designed in 1928 Minto Golf Club is set in the undulating parkland of Minto Hill. The testing but fair parkland course offers golfers of all abilities an enjoyable round of golf.

The feature hole at Minto Golf Club is the par 4, 267 yard 12th hole, “Everest”. From the tree lined tee to the plateau green, Everest is the feature hole. A good straight drive is required followed by a finely judged high ball to the small green. Don’t over-shoot on this hole!

Many of the holes at Minto compete for this title, but the best has to be the par 4, 11th hole, “Dunion”. The views from here are truly inspiring with the Dunion Hill on the left, sweeping Border hills leading to Ruberslaw on the right as you head down the fairway to the green nestled at the foot of the course. On a summers evening, this is a view to be treasured.

The card breaker on the course comes near the end of the round at the par 4 16th, “Road Hole”. Success at this hole demands an accurate tee shot and a careful approach to a ‘subtle’ green.
