Public pay and play courses are often given a bad reputation, and sneered at by their private members cousins. How unfair and outrageous that is, especially when you consider the sensational course at Sedgely Golf Club. It is of a standard that would make some other, better thought of courses go green with envy. It has nine holes but eighteen tees so a full round can be enjoyed. More than that, when played this way, it measures a colossal 6295 yards in total.

Its array of hazards is somewhat impressive also, with plenty of mature trees and rolling fairways for you to conquer in search of a respectable score. And all this comes at less than £10 a round. Fabulous stuff indeed.
