Functions
Well over eighty years old, Southport Old Links Golf Club has been situated just minutes from Southport town centre since it first opened for the enjoyment of golfers everywhere in 1920. It plays quite a lot like a links course, given its close proximity to the seaside and, whilst only being a nine-hole course, it can be played as an eighteen-hole, for which it measures 6244 yards altogether and offers a par of 72 - a clear indication of the troubles that lie waiting for you.
If you can successfully battle with the strong sea-breezes, tight tree-lined fairway, tricky greens and well placed bunkers then there is no reason why you shouldn't score well here. Just exercise a little caution from the tees!
