Functions
Since it was first opened as St. Bees School Golf Club in 1928, the club has changed location and complexity since. It now takes up residency on St. Bees beach, where it provides a challenging, exhausting round of golf on its hilly setting, whilst providing sensational, unique and unrivalled views of the Isle of Man and Irish Sea that make the exertion more than worthwhile.
A nine-hole course, it can be played as an eighteen-hole and consequently extra tees are available. It can be especially difficult when the prevailing wind blows strongest, and the small, challenging greens have caught out even the most assured of short games in the past.
