Stamford Golf Club

Situated just outside Stalybridge, and possessing some fine views of the beautiful Cheshire countryside is Stamford Golf club, home to an undulating course that provides a sound test of golf to players of all abilities. There are enough challenges here to excite more experienced players without intimidating those new to the sport, and so it proves popular with a considerable number of golfers in the region.

It is by no means the longest golf course around - it measures only 5701 yards from the tee on the first hole to the pin on the eighteenth - but the par of 70 suggests there is a lot of work for you to do over the course to come away with a respectable scorecard.
