The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club - Signature Course

This course was extended in 1997 from a 9-hole to an 18-hole course, with the new nine designed by Peter Alliss. The front nine has recently undergone some major renovation and remodeling, and combines hedgerows and undulating fairways with large greens and water features.

Remodelling on The Signature Course has significantly improved both the design and aesthetics of this course, and several new tees have been added to both courses.

The 10th hole on the Signature Course was perhaps considered as our “Signature Hole”, a 136 yard par 3 over water to a wide but shallow green, with an approach that rolls back to the water. That honour now goes to the stunning 18th which you will hear about as you read on. The substantial lake around the 10th green and 11th tee is sensitively managed to enhance both aquatic and bird life, and is also the home of the 11th tee, which is on a peninsula in the middle of the lake.

During the Winter of 2016 we took the bold step to change the layout of the Signature Course, one that has proved a very popular decision. We also invested heavily on the course and the playing conditions have improved ten fold.

The new 18th hole which once was the 9th and a long slog of a par 4 is now a beautifully thought out par 5 with a meandering stream at driving distance then you are faced with a decision to go for it or lay up? You’re approach shot to the green is over water to a fantastic island green a hole you will never forget….
