Functions

Perhaps the leading golf course architect of all time, Dr. Alister Mackenzie was the man who lent his Midas touch to the outstanding design and layout of the course at Walsall Golf Club.
Dr. Mackenzie was a truly brilliant golf course architect who lent his brilliant imagination and visions to the designs of some of the finest courses in the world, and the course here has all the typical characteristics of one of his designs.
The club first opened its doors to golfers in 1907, so will shortly be celebrating its centenary year. At 6257 yards from the first tee to the eighteenth pin, it is also a nice distance for a course and covers some beautiful, springy, verdant parkland turf.
